Kelly Hu works as a senior mechanic in an auto repair service named My Home. After her husband David Li died ten years ago due to a car crash, Kelly raises her daughter Sandy Li alone as a single mom. 

The sixteen finalists who defeats thousands of competitors stand on the stage. Four of them will become the leading characters for the musical Thanks for the Music.

There is a stage manager on the stage. He can shuttle back and forth between different times and spaces at will.
